CUI students excited and ready for give back day

By Doctor Thomas | 11/19/2021

This year marked CUI’s sixth annual CUI Give Back Day. This annual event occurs each November and is a way for the school to raise money and to essentially “give back.” This year was the most successful CU Give Back event to date.

The school raised $134,476 with a total of 591 donors and over 700 gifts. The purpose of CU Give Back is for different departments, programs and clubs on campus to fundraise for whichever area they feel the funds are needed most. This can include the purchasing of updated equipment/supplies, student scholarship support, and many other necessary expenses.

Annual Giving Coordinator Sofia Saldana said, “It is because of our donors that we are able to continue providing our students with a worthwhile, exceptional education.” She added, “We are beyond grateful for the support they continue to show us throughout the years.”

There were 43 campaigns that were featured this year. Haley Marrujo, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations said, “Thank you to the CUI alumni, parents, faculty, staff and students that supported and shared the vision of Concordia to make CU Give Back 2021 a huge success.”
